Eligibility & Qualification

1. For B.Tech Candidates must have passed or be appearing for the 12th examination with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as core subjects.
2. A minimum aggregate of 45% (40% for reserved categories) is required in the qualifying examination.
3. For Pharmacy Candidates must have completed 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, and either Mathematics or Biology.

5. For Postgraduate Bachelor’s degree in the relevant field with the required minimum marks, as specified by HPTU.

Examination Pattern

1. HPCET is conducted in offline mode (pen-and-paper-based test).
2. The exam consists of multiple-choice questions (MCQs) with four options
3. For B.Tech aspirants: Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics.
4. For Pharmacy aspirants: Physics, Chemistry, and Biology/Mathematics.
5. Each correct answer is awarded 2 marks, and 0.5 marks are deducted for every incorrect answer.
6. The exam duration is 3 hours, with equal time allocated for all subjects.
7. Total Marks: 150 marks.
